What do you do when you aren’t riding your horse? (As in job):
When I’m not covered in hay you can find me at the hospital… also will probably still have hay on me.
I am a junior doctor currently working at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. I have an interest in Emergency Medicine and Primary Health Care. I am currently training to become a GP
I have a Connemara cross pony named Cisco, who is my spoilt child. He is my pride and joy and I just love him even when he does test my patience
Best Horse moment
Getting our first ever legitimate win at the REA Horse Trials last year. I came first in the 60cm class.
Worst horse moment
Falling off while texting and another time I was racing from one class to the stockman challenge at a horse show, my horse spooked and I fell off in front of 30 maybe even more people.
Doctor: I’m afraid the operation left you completely blind
Patient: I see
Doctor: oh cool then forget I said anything
Hello and welcome everyone to Wagga Wagga Dressage Club - 2020.
After a rough end to 2019, I can happily say a new committee has been formed. A good turnout at the AGM enabled this to happen and I’d like to personally thank everyone who put their hand up to get our little club back in action.
The new committee are enthusiastic and excited for the future of dressage in Wagga! We will be pairing back our competition schedule for the year to form a solid foundation to build on. Protocol days and official competitions will go ahead in the near future. I encourage everyone to get behind these weekends. Riding, volunteering or supporting, we would love to see your smiling faces. An official post of dates will follow.
Our aim as a club is to create a positive, friendly and supportive environment for everyone to enjoy. I hope that as your newly elected president, I can foster and grow this positive environment for all.
I encourage all members to approach the committee at any time for advice, assistance or even just a chat. All committee members are approachable and willing to help in any way. There will be opportunities throughout the year to introduce yourself and put names to faces. We will be introducing the committee on the FB page and website in the weeks to come.
Don’t forget our discounted memberships on offer for the remainder of this financial year.
May you all have a successful 2020, your horses behave and you enjoy this beautiful sport we all love.
